Djibouti, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Uganda Sign MOU to Establish DESSU Corridor
Four east African states, Djibouti, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Uganda, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the DESSU Corridor. The corridor will enhance regional integration by enhancing the connectivity among the participating countries and contribute to economic growth and cooperation.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ethiopian embassy in Djibouti on 27 February 2025. The meeting started since 25 February 2025 and each country was represented by the Ministry of Infrastructure or Transport.

The MoU calls for the setting up of the DESSU Corridor Management Authority. The signiing of the MoU follows extensive discussions at the Technical committee level.
