Given the various bottlenecks which act as a roadblock to the regional economic integration of the Southern Africa region, the GBC is working closely with all stakeholders to realize the Southern Africa Transport Network (#SATraN). The aim is to optimize the unit transport cost of transport in order to enhance the competitiveness of inter-Africa trade and boost intra-Africa trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The #SATraN is articulated around a number of hubs or natural transportation nexus points. These potential hubs are selected based on their geostrategic locations, vicinity to centers of economic activity, and concentrators of traffic at key border crossings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
