On 23 October 2024, De Beers Group issued an update on its diamond exploration in Angola. Applying airborne electromagnetic survey, De Beers has identified eight high potential kimberlite sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In February 2024, De Beers signed an MoU with Angola’s National Mineral Resource Agency and Endiama, Angola’s state-owned diamond trading company during the Mining Indaba 2023 in Cape Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since then, De Beers initiated its exploration of the concession areas in north-eastern Angola using airborne magnetic survey, discovery drilling and ground geophysics. Now that the survey has been completed, De Beers is pleased to present its findings during the International Diamond Conference which is taking place in Angola from 23 t o24 October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Beers CEO Al Cook also commended the efforts of the Government of Angola to foster an investment-friendly environment, through adoption of internationally recognized best practices and a high-level of transparency of the administrative processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
