During the Joint Ministerial Committee Meeting held at Swakopmund on Friday 21 February 2025, Botswana and Namibia renewed their commitment to realize the Trans-Kalahari Rail Corridor Development Project (TKRCP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Namibian Minister of Works and Transport John Mutorwa spurred the TKRCP to move faster. He pointed out that the two countries cannot continue to waste public resources to organise meeting of such magnitude without getting decisions implemented. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He recalled that the partnership agreement for the regional rail has already been signed since 2014, more than a decade ago with little concrete progress to show.
