This batch of <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/pandabonds\/\">#PandaBonds<\/a> has a term of 3 years with a coupon rate of 2.99 % and a total value of RMB 2.2 billion ($303M).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The issuance actually took place on 28 March 2025 and paves the way for other African banking institutions to raise capital in China and broaden their financing sources. Bank of China (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.boc.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BoC<\/a>) was the lead underwriter and bookrunner, with the China Export-Import Bank (<a href=\"http:\/\/english.eximbank.gov.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CEXIM<\/a>) and the Industrial &amp; Commercial Bank of China (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ICBC.com.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ICBC<\/a>) acted as joint underwriters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;This issuance highlights Afreximbank\u2019s commitment to diversifying its funding sources and to tapping into new pools of capital to drive economic development across Africa. It further reinforces the long-term economic and trade partnership between China and Africa, fostering deeper financial integration and collaboration.
