The objective is to reduce the sugr import bill of Ghana which stood at USD 162 million in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Project comprises of 25,000 hectares of land under sugar cane cultivation. Dangote also plans a complex with a daily crushing capacity of 12,000 tonnes to produce molasses. The refinery will convert the juice into sugar and the distillery can ouput ethanol as a biofuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dangote Sugar the subsidiary of Dangote Group focusing on the sugar business.
