The data shows that China dropped dramatically to become the 3rd largest exporter of apparel to the US, after Trump imposed hefty tariffs. Vietnam and Bangladesh appear to be winners in the current trade war between US and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US imported clothes worth USD 77.88 billion in 2025, showing a slight decrease of 1.7% compared to 2024. Bangladesh solidified its position as the top denim exporter to the US, with a 26% market share. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Africa, many countries enjoyed a preferential regime under <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/agoa\/\">#AGOA<\/a>. Still, the export values and market shares are relatively modest, but in terms of providing gainful employment, the impact is significant, especially on smaller economies. In the first four months of 2025, export values from AGOA dropped by 23% as buyers shifted orders as the September 2025 deadline loomed large.
