It is estimated that the Project would cost USD 15 billion and would take 5 years to deploy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The America-India cable starts from Myrtle Beach on the US East Coast, then traverses the Atlantic to Spain via the Nuvem cable. It goes down the African West Coast up to Cape Town, in South Africa, via the Qeuiano cable. Then, it goes around the Cape of Good Hope, traverses the Indian Ocean before landing at Visakhapatnam (Vizag) on India&#8217;s East Coast, which is a new landing node being added to the existing ones in Mumbai and Chennai.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"d9dddf\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #d9dddf;\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/America-India-Connect-Map-W-jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"not-transparent wp-image-37889\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/America-India-Connect-Map-W-jpg.webp 640w, https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/America-India-Connect-Map-W-300x169.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Once operational, the cable will provide backbone capacity for cloud and AI applications. The cable carefully avoids certain hotspots of the Read Sea and the chokepoints such as the Suez Canal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In conjunction with the hardware, Google will enhance the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/ai\/\">#AI<\/a> soft skills.
