During the visit, the two countries signed foru cooperation Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) covering law and justice, air <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/connectivity\/\">#connectivity<\/a> information and communication technologies (ICT), and metrology. It is also reported that both Angola and Tanzania support the linking of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/lobitocorridor\/\">#LobitoCorridor<\/a> with the Tanzania-Zambia Railway (<a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/tazara\/\">#TAZARA<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Law_and_Justice\"><\/span>Law and Justice<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Transfer of Sentenced Persons Agreement provides a legal basis for extraditing prisoners form one country to the other. It sets out the legal procedures for such a transfer in accordance to the criminal justice system in both countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Air_Connectivity\"><\/span>Air Connectivity <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bilateral Air Services Agreement establishes a framework for strengthening air transport cooperation. The aim is to improve connectivity, reduce logistical costs, and support growth in trade, tourism, investment and other economic sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"8874a0\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #8874a0;\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TAAO-01w-jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"not-transparent wp-image-42376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TAAO-01w-jpg.webp 600w, https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TAAO-01w-300x200.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Information_and_Communication_Technologies\"><\/span>Information and Communication Technologies<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Information and Communication Technologies MoU advances collaboration in <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/digitalization\/\">#digitalization<\/a>. It seeks to promote knowledge sharing and bolster the digital economy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Metrology\"><\/span>Metrology<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Metrology MoU sets the framework for cooperation in measurement science and related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Link_Lobito_Corridor_and_Tazara\"><\/span>Link Lobito Corridor and Tazara<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"a8c7b2\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #a8c7b2;\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TZAO-02w-jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"not-transparent wp-image-42379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TZAO-02w-jpg.webp 600w, https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/TZAO-02w-300x200.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Tanzania&#8217;s President Samia Hassan declared that the Lobito Corridor&#8217;s Benguela Railway will link up with the Tanzania-Zambia Railway. Once completed, the strategic rail line will enable a seamless transcontinental connectivity from Lobito Port on the east coast of Africa to Dar es Salaam port on the west coast. In other words, the railway will allow the <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/copperbelt\/\">#Copperbelt<\/a> region to have easier access to the Atlantic Ocean or the Indian Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Energy_Cooperation\"><\/span>Energy Cooperation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Angola has also invited Tanzania to invest in its oil refinery project. The Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation is assessing the viability of the partnership in the Lobito Oil Refinery Project.
