In particular, the Agreement brings Huayou closer to its goal of getting full ownership of the strategic <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/ewoyaa\/\">#Ewoyaa<\/a> Lithium Project in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the Agreement, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huayou.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Huayou<\/a> (SHSE: 603799) would hold a 22.5% shareholding in Atlantic Lithium&#8217;s assets in Ghana, with the potential to increase its stake further to 27.5% depending on the actual amount of capital invested. As per the Novation, Elevra&#8217;s (formerly Piedmont Lithium) rights and obligations will be transferred to Huayou, as Huayou is paying approximately USD 71 million for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elevra.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elevra<\/a>&#8216;s stake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Atlantic Lithium to put Ghana on the map for lithium production at flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/49Wty7L29Tw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Huayou would inject up to USD 70 million to monetize the Ghanaian <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/lithium\/\">#lithium<\/a> assets. Originally, Atlantic Lithium was supposed to match Huayou&#8217;s investment level. However, Huayou had also proposed an outright takeover of Atlantic Lithium. Huayou has put on the table an all-cash offer of USD 210 million for Atlantic Lithium, representing an almost 27% premium over the share price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), the Ewoyaa mine has an estimated reserve of 3.6 million tonnes of spodumene concentrate at 5-6% grade with a lifetime of 12 years, ranking Ewoyaa among the best globally. The mine is open pit and is suitable for dense-media separation (DMS). Environmental permits have also already been secured.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"bddee4\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #bddee4;\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/Ewoyaa-02W-jpg.webp\" alt=\"Ewoyaa Lithium Mine Location Map\" class=\"not-transparent wp-image-42452\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/Ewoyaa-02W-jpg.webp 640w, https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/Ewoyaa-02W-300x169.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Ewoyaa Lithium Mine Location Map<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>As per existing regulations, the change in shareholding structure is subject to approval by relevant authorities. Already, Ghana&#8217;s Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has issued a &#8216;no objection&#8217; to Huayou getting a stake in the Ghanaian lithium mine. Similarly, Australia&#8217;s Foreign Investment Board has cleared the potential acquisition of Atlantic Lithium by Zhejiang Huayou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huayou hopes to complete the transaction by the end of 2026 and to start mobilizing works right after.
