In particular, SFD has financed over 400 projects across 46 African countries to the tune of nearly USD 11 billion. On the other hand, AFC has invested nearly USD 13 billion across Africa since its inception.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"1f5d78\" data-has-transparency=\"false\" style=\"--dominant-color: #1f5d78;\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SFD-03-450x300-1-jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"not-transparent wp-image-7598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SFD-03-450x300-1-jpg.webp 300w, https:\/\/gbc1.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SFD-03-450x300-1-200x300.webp 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">SFD Financing for Africa<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>&#8220;The SFD is committed to supporting sustainable development in Africa. The signing of this MoU with the Africa Finance Corporation is a significant step forward in collaborating to finance sustainable and impactful infrastructure projects across Africa. Together, we will work to unify our efforts in delivering development projects that will have a positive impact on boosting economic growth and helping to improve the quality of life for millions of people across the continent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>SFD CEO Sultan Al-Marshad<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The MoU aims to reinforce coordination between the two leading Development Finance Institutions (<a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/dfi\/\">#DFI<\/a>) in Africa to identify, develop and co-finance development projects in Africa. The targeted sectors include agriculture, energy, mining, industry, social infrastructure, transportation and logistics. The agreement reaffirms the commitment and solidarity of two DFIs to cooperate in order to achieve the UN <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/sdg\/\">#SDG<\/a> and to realize the AU <a href=\"https:\/\/gbc1.net\/index.php\/tag\/agenda2063\/\">#Agenda2063<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWith our shared passion to elevate Africa\u2019s instrumental role as an engine of global growth, we are delighted to be partnering with SFD, whose considerable resources have played a positive role in accelerating economic development in Africa, It is essential for Development Finance Institutions to work diligently together to deliver novel solutions that address the volatile landscape and challenging economic conditions we are facing today.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>AFC President &amp;
