PIL Reorganizes Mozambique and Indian Ocean Services

At the start of August 2026, Pacific International Lines (PIL) reorganized its Mozambique and Indian Ocean Islands services by introducing three dedicated routes to streamline regional flow across Southern and East Africa in the Western Indian Ocean.

Basically, PIL is splitting the old Mozambique Service (MZS) into two services each with a different focus. The new MZS will focus on Mozambique, while the Indian Ocean Service will visit the Indian Ocean island states.

The revised services are the Mozambique Service (MZS), the Indian Ocean Service (IOS), and the Indian Ocean Feeder (IOF). Each loop will focus on specific regional markets while ensuring scheduling regularity.

MZS will call at Singapore – Port Klang – Nacala – Beira – Maputo – Durban – Singapore, thus serving the three ports of Mozambique. IOS will follow Singapore – Port Klang – Mombasa – Longoni – Tamatave – Port Louis – Reunion – Mombasa – Singapore, providing coverage of the Indian Ocean islands of Madagascar, Mauritius and Reunion. The Comoros will be covered by the IOF, which will loop around Mombasa, Zanzibar and Moroni.
