Dangote and XCMG Strengthen Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On 1 February 2026, Dangote Group Chair Aliko Dangote and Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG) Chair YANG Dongsheng signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The ceremony took place during the visit by the Dangote delegation to the XCMG HQ in Xuzhou, China.

Dangote led a delegation from Nigeria and arrived in Xuzhou on 27 January 2026 to visit XCMG and meet with the top executives. The XCMG Chair Yang outlined his company’s transformation journey based on the ‘Five Modernizations.’ On the other hand, Dangote is in the middle of an ambitious and vast expansion strategy across the emerging continent of Africa.

The cooperation with XCMG will enable Dangota to enhance its industrial capacity, reinforce its infrastructure construction, and undertake greener project development.

When Dangote built one of the largest oil refineries in Africa, XCMG was one of the main equipment suppliers. XCMG actually supplied more than 2,000 pieces of equipment for the construction project, including cranes, loaders, concrete mixers, and many more.

In October 2025, Dangote and XCMG entered into a landmark Green Alliance agreement to support Dangote’s #sustainability goals and #EnergyTransition strategy. Based on that successful partnership, both companies now wish to strengthen their cooperation.
