India Business Delegation Seeks Business Partnerships in Africa

On 4 November 2022, a delegation of Indian entrepreneurs from the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO)  arrived in Libreville, the capital of Gabon. They had working session with the National Agency for the Promotion of Investment (ANPI Gabon) which was represented by its Director-General Mrs Ghislain Moandza MBOMA.

This business mission is a resultant of the 17th India-Africa Conclave (#IAC) which took place in New Delhi in July 2022. On that occasion, the Gabon-India Business Council was launched to boot trade and investment between the two countries.

Currently, India is the 2nd largest export market for Gabon with bilateral trade volume reaching USD 1.22 billion in the fiscal year 2021-2022.

Following meeting with ANPI, the IETO delegation will meet with various ministers to explore opportunities in various sectors such as Mining, Health and Fishing. The delegation leaves Gabon on 9 November 2022.

To promote economic partnership between India and Africa, Mauritius is expected to hold the 3rd India-Africa Entrepreneurship and Investment Summit (#IAEIS3) in 2023.
