XinFeng decided to extend its investment from USD 1.7 to 10 billion thanks to the attractive package of incentives that the Egyptian Government was able to put forward. The Project will be implemented in phases over a five-year period.

In the first phase, XinFeng will build four plants, each specializing in a different product category, such as automotive brake discs, household appliance parts, standard fasteners (bolts and nuts), and a hot-rolled steel coil mill.

In phase two, XinFeng will add another five plants. They will produce steel structures, heavy construction machinery parts, automotive components, and a cold-rolled steel coil mill.

In addition, XinFeng will set up a research and development center and training center near the factories to develop new products and create a talent pool for the factories. XinFeng estimates that the Steel Complex will eventually employ 15,000 Egyptians. When fully operational, the nine factories are expected to generate a combined revenue exceeding USD 4 billion annually.
