Lindian Resources Completes 100% Acquisition of Lelouma Bauxite Mine

On 28 April 2025, Lindian Resources (ASX:LIN) announced that it has acquired the remaining 25% stake in Lelouma Bauxite Mine to secure full ownership of the resource. The Lelouma bauxite mine is rated with a reserve of nearly one billion tonnes of bauxite with 45% of aluminum oxide and 2.1% of silicon oxide. The Project targets to produce direct shipping ore (DSO) while the Guinean government would like to see more local value addition (#LVA).

In particular, Lindian signed a binding Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) with minority partners to become the sole and full owner of the Lelouma project. Under thee SA, 20 million shares from various shareholders will be transferred to Lindian. In addition, Lindian has agreed also disburse a 1% royalty to the sellers.

Lindian plans to form a new in-country management team to handle outstanding regulatory approvals with the government and negotiations with port and logistics operators. Indeed, the Lelouma mine is situated near the railway line that leads t the Kamsar port.

In addition to Lelouma, Lindian also has stakes in Bauxite mines in Gaoul and Woula located in the north-west of Guinea. In Tanzania, Lindian has also interests in the Lushot and Pare Bauxite mines in eastern Tanzania. Moreover, Lindian plans to operationalize the Kangankunde Rare Earths Projects in Malawi in 2026.
