AfDB Pushes Win-Win for Critical Minerals
As one of the major sponsors, the African Development Bank supported and participated in the Africa Mining Indaba 2023 (#AMI2023) which took place in Cape Twon from 6 to 9 February 2023. The theme of this edition is “Unlocking African Mining Investment: Stability, Security and Supply.”
The team representing AFDB is made up of resources from several departments such as the African Natural Resources Management and Investment Centre, the Industrialization and Trade Development, Sanctions and Appeals Board and the African Legal Support Facility.
The AfDB is the sponsor of the Ministerial Lounge which is a meeting of all the ministers at the Mining Indaba. In addition, the AfDB will host two events: one will focus on Battery Minerals for #GreenTransition while the other one will lock at effective contract negotiations to unlock mining opportunities.
