Saipem Bags USD 400M Drilling Job Off Cote d’Ivoire

Saipem announced that it has secured a USD 400 million contract to undertake oil exploration in Cote d’Ivoire. The client is a JV between Eni and Petroci. As part of the agreement, Saipem will deploy its Deep Value Driller platform which is considered one of the most advanced on the market.

Saipem is a hydrocarbon engineering services company from Italy. Within the short timeframe of six months, Saipem has won four contracts in Cote d’Ivoire. In value, the contracts amount to nearly USD one billion. Most of the drilling is being performed in the Baleine field where huge reserves oil and gas are believed to be present.

Other than Cote d’Ivoire, Saipem is also working in Angola and the Middle-East.
