Invest Africa Event Explores Mining Trends in Africa

Invest Africa is holding its 11th annual Mining Series in Cape from 5 to 7 February 2024. The objective of the event is to examine investment opportunities and industry trends in the mining sector across Africa.

South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor, was the guest of honor. South African and Zambian Mining Ministers were among the top government officials in attendance. The private sector was represented by mining giants Barrick Gold, Glencore, to name a few. In all, more than a hundred leaders from the public and private sectors gathered in Cape Town for the event.

During her intervention, Minister Pandor underscored that Africa is emerging as the critical link for the #EnergyTranstion value chain since it holds the significant reserves of #CriticalMinerals for achieving #NetZero.

A discussion panel around Trends in the Mining Industry explores where the sector is going. As a matter of fact, a discussion panel delved into “Circularity and #ESG in Mining.”
