Qatar and Mozambique Ink $20B Strategic Cooperation Agreement
On 26 August 2025, Qatari Al-Mansour Holdings signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Government of Mozambique to the tune of USD 20 billion. The Agreement covers several areas, including agriculture & fisheries, energy, infrastructure, health and tourism. This deal forms part of Qatar’s new strategic drive into Africa (#QA300B).
The signature was executed by Osvaldo Machatine, the Executive Coordinator of the Office of Reforms and Strategic Projects of Mozambique, and Sheikh Mansour al Thani, the Special Emissary of the Chairman of the Al-Mansour Holdings. Prior to the signature, Mozambique President Daniel Chapo received the Qatari delegation for a discussion on how to deepen the partnership.

The signature ceremony was followed by a press conference. Sheikh Mansour emphasized that the Middle-East and Africa are not only linked geographically, but also historically. More than ever, the two regions sit at the cusp of history, setting the stage for transformative development and unprecedented progress.
