Corel Picks Mauritius for African Base

Corel Corporation, the Canadian software maker, plans to open a Regional Centre of Excellence in Mauritius.

As part of its implementation in Mauritius, Corel plans to recruit 200 employees. The roles span R&D, Technical Support as well as some non-technical positions. The software developers are expected to be conversant in C++ and Python.

Corel Corporation is perhaps most well-known for its flagship graphics suite, namely CorelDRAW, but has now an expanded portfolio.

The decision to pick Mauritius as its African HQ was motivated by the conducive business climate and the availability of top talent.
