The 1st Global Gateway Forum 2023 (#GGF2023) took place in Brussels from 25 to 26 October 2023. The #GlobalGateway Initiative (#GGI) was announced two years ago in 2021 and pledged to mobilize some EUR 300 billion from both public and private sources to support global projects that are in the strategic interest of the EU.

From Georgia to Central Asia via the Black Sea, the EU is laying optical fiber cable to enhance #digitalizationn and #connectivity.
In the Western Balkans, Moldova and Ukraine, the EU will connect railway networks and electricity grids in order to bring the region close to a Single Market.
